Meet the District Leadership for the South Carolina District Church of the nazarene

District Superintendent - Rev. Samuel Flores
Rev. Sam Flores was elected District Superintendent of the South Carolina District in July 2018. Prior to that he served as Assistant District Superintendent for the South Texas District, District Missionary (where he was responsible for the coordination of New Church Development and the Multicultural Ministries), and pastoral assignments in Austin Grace, Austin First, San Antonio Central, Houston Southwest and New Vision Community. Sam was influential in the development of 70 new churches in South Texas.
Sam has also served as a Board of Trustees member of Southern Nazarene University and currently at Trevecca Nazarene University. Sam also currently serves the denominational church as a New Church Task Force member, Director of Assessments for New Church Pastors, and has been a workshop presenter at the PALCON, Mid quadrennial conferences, as well as General Assembly.
Sam and Candy have four daughters, a son in law, two granddaughters and two grandsons. They enjoy spending time with family and love to travel and go sightseeing.

ASSISTANT DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT - Rev. Jeremy Reese

Rev. Jeremy Reese serves as the Assistant District Superintendent for the South Carolina District Church of the Nazarene and as Lead Pastor of Aiken Ebenezer Nazarene in Aiken, South Carolina. A passionate communicator and leader, Jeremy has spoken at numerous conferences and workshops, bringing insight from his diverse background in pastoral ministry, missions, and Christian higher education.
Over the years, he has served in a variety of ministry roles—including student and administrative pastor, overseas missionary church planter, and professor and administrator in Christian higher education. He has also been actively involved in recovery ministry through X3Church and Live Free Ministries, offering hope and support to those navigating addiction and restoration.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Bible/Theology and Pastoral Ministry, as well as a Master of Ministry in Christian Leadership from John Wesley University.
He is married to Melissa, and they have four children: Neomi, Nathan, Ezekiel and Shepherd.
